Who we are

This website, www.heatwiseenergyadvice.co.uk, is operated by Heatwise Energy Advice Ltd. (“we”, “us”), a company registered in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about anything in this notice through our contact form.

The short version

This website collects no personal information about you unless you choose to send us a message through the contact form. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and does not profile visitors.

Information we collect, and why

Contact form

If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We use these solely to reply to your enquiry and for any follow-up you ask for. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have chosen to send us (Article 6(1)(f)).

Your submission is delivered to our mailbox by email. We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, after which they are deleted. We do not add you to any marketing list.

Anti-spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes human visitors from automated spam. When you use the form, Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and network (such as your IP address) to make that assessment. This processing is strictly necessary to keep the form secure and does not track you across other websites. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Website hosting

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the European Union, delivered through AWS’s content delivery network. Like any web server, AWS processes your IP address transiently in order to deliver pages to your browser. We do not keep access logs of visitors.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies — not for analytics, advertising, preferences or anything else. That is why you do not see a cookie banner here: there is nothing to ask consent for.

Who we share information with

We do not sell or share your personal information with anyone for marketing. The only parties that process contact-form data on our behalf are our service providers: Amazon Web Services (email delivery and hosting, EU region) and Cloudflare (anti-spam check). Our own mailbox provider stores the emails we receive. We would disclose information beyond this only if required by law.

International transfers

Our hosting and email delivery run in AWS’s EU (Ireland) region. Cloudflare and our mailbox provider may process limited technical data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and adequacy regulations.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to external sites (for example gov.uk guidance). Once you follow a link, the destination site’s own privacy policy applies. We encourage you to read it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal information; to object to or ask us to restrict our use of it; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact form. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If how we handle personal information changes, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
